CREATION

Everything was Nothing. Then, Daivik created the Central Elemental Star to preserve and contain Aurora -- the single source of energy from which all magic comes. Now able to harness this energy, Daivik created the Heavenly Realm, separating his domain from the Void. The Void and its creatures fed off of Aurora, so it began attempting to destroy Daivik's creation and swallow the Heavenly Realm into itself. To combat the Void's attempts, Daivik created the Davinshi -- immensely powerful beings tasked with defending the Heavens and forwarding Daivik's will.

Daivik separated the power of Aurora into various forms of energy for the Davinshi to use:
- Earth
- Water
- Fire
- Nature
- Light
Some Davinshi were given total control of one form. For example, Davinshi Ashvin is the God of Light.

In addition to the five forms listed above, there is Void energy, which has existed since the beginning of time.

To further distance his work from the Void, over many eons, Daivik created six barriers, called realms, that sat in between the Heavens and the Void. The further Void creatures went from the Void, the weaker they became. This created the six realms:
- The Heavenly Realm: Where the Flow of Aurora originates. Home of Daivik and his closest allies.
- The Realm of Paradise: A paradisaical place inhabited by the great people and creatures who died in other realms. This is a place reserved for those who attained glory in their lives.
- The Realm of the Living: The initial home of nearly all of the life forms created by Daivik or the Davinshi.
- The Forgotten Realm: An eternal prison. Anyone sent here by Daivik or the Davinshi is erased from existence -- as if he never existed at all.
- The Realm of Decay: The chaotic front-line of the war between the Heavens and the Void, where Existence and Nothing twist and twirl in an endless struggle. Nothing lasts here.
- The Mirror Realm: A complete opposite, or mirror image, of the Realm of the Living.

The Davinshi watched over the realms and populated the Realm of the Living with creatures of their own creation, including Humans, Giants, and Elves.

THE SACRED ORDERS

The Davinshi were all responsible for carrying out Daivik's will in whatever manner he deemed necessary. Each was given their own roles that they were meant to carry out for eternity. For instance, Davinshi Ashvin was made commander of the heavens, while Davinshi Ophiel was tasked with monitoring the Central Elemental Star. Davinshi Talion, the first Davinshi created, was given the most important task: Infiltrate and explore the Void, and discover a means to destroy it for good.

Talion took up his mission with great sincerity and spent thousands of years in the Void, quickly learning how to harness Void magic -- something not even Daivik knew how to do. At first, this made him a great asset in Daivik's mind, and he made Talion the Guardian of the Realms. As Talion became more powerful, however, Daivik grew worried that he would not be able to control him if he continued to learn more about Void magic. Because of this, he ordered Talion to cease all experimentation with Void magic. Talion refused and was banished from the Heavens, and all his Heavenly responsibilities were revoked.

Talion, seeing Daivik as a weak and tyrannical ruler, declares war on the Heavens and amasses a force of Void creatures and living things.

THE WAR OF THE ANCIENTS

Over thousands of years, Talion and Daivik were in a realm-spanning, violent struggle that resulted in innumerable deaths. Over the course of the war, Davinshi Ashvin left the Heavens to join Talion. Every realm saw the effects of the war. Fearing that the creations in the Realm of the Living would be in danger, and because he was losing Davinshi, Daivik created the Archangels. These Heavenly beings, weaker than Davinshi, but far greater in number, were primarily tasked with protecting the Realm of the Living. Still, Talion's influence spread throughout the realm, causing struggles between living beings, each fighting for different beliefs. The largest force in the Realm of the Living in support of Daivik was the Exiled Republic, fronted by Haruko and Darkero.

The War of Eden

One of the climaxes of the war occurred in the Realm of Paradise, when Talion's force evaded the Archangels and levied an attack on Eden. This, in later times, was called the War of Eden. All inhabitants of the realm -- farmers, fighters, brewers, children, men, and women all rallied against Talion's force and fought at the gates of Eden. Many thousands were killed and sent to the Void, before Daivik's forces drove Talion's force to retreat.
After many years of torture, Davinshi Ophiel eventually told Talion the location of the Central Elemental Star. In exchange, she was let go from captivity, as per Talion's word. She hastened to the Heavens to tell Daivik her mistake, but it was too late. By the time she got to the realm, Talion enacted his greatest attack in the multi-millennia-spanning war.

THE END OF TIME

A few centuries earlier, Ashvin had found the Central Elemental Star on a mission from Talion. She was drawn to the power hiding within it. In an attempt to release the energy, she struck it with her magic. She was immediately crystallized, along with her partner, Davinshi X.

Talion later heard of Ashvin's fate but could never find the Central Elemental Star himself -- until Ophiel told him where to find it.

In an effort to destroy the Heavens, Talion tried to destroy the very thing holding it up -- the Central Elemental Star. Thanks to Ophiel's information, he managed to make his way to it and pierce it with Void magic. Immediately, chaos ensued. All Davinshi outside of the Heavenly realm -- including Talion himself -- were turned to crystals, later called Elemental Crystals. As this happened, the Void, due to the now weakened realm, began swallowing up Daivik's barriers.

First, the Mirror Realm fell, then the Realm of Decay, then the Realm of the Living. All that separated the Void from the Heavens now was the Realm of Paradise, which would soon fall. Then, everything would return to Nothing, and all of Daivik's creations would disappear as if they had never existed. Existence itself as if it had never existed.

When the Void reached the Realm of Paradise, however, it was unable to swallow it. Something was protecting it from the Void. The End of Time was stopped. It was eventually revealed that someone, one of the Davinshi's creations, protected the Realm. This creation was known only as the Alchemist.

AFTER THE END

With Talion crystallized, his force dissipated. Daivik had won, and the entire world -- or what remained of it -- wanted to find the one responsible for this victory. For over a decade, kings, adventurers, and angels went searching through the Realm of Paradise for the Alchemist, but nobody ever found him. He saved the world and then disappeared from it.

In the meantime, Daivik and the remaining Davinshi worked hard to find normality and balance. Now with far fewer servants, Daivik had far more trouble managing his domain, though it was far smaller now.

After the End of Time, many people disappeared, swallowed by the Void. Among them was Dayton, son of Darkero and Haruko of the Exiled Republic. Unlike the others, however, Dayton did not perish in the Void, for he held the power of a Davinshi at his chest -- Davinshi Ashvin, the Elemental Crystal of Light. This kept him alive in the Void, trapped in its bitter Nothingness for more than a decade after the End of Time. During that time, most gave up looking for the Alchemist and tried to find normality. Cities were built and rebuilt, factions rose and fell, and life returned. Unbeknownst to most, however, so, too, did Talion's force return, under a new commander, and under a new name. The Ravi, led by Hein, seeks to bring Talion back to life and continue his mission to destroy the Heavens and the tyrannical leader sitting on his throne in it.

By the time Dayton enters the Realm of Paradise to find the Alchemist, large swaths of the realm have already been infected by the Ravi.
