Reanimated Markhirin

Two reanimated markhirin pull the carriage. Due to being reanimations, their bodies are slightly decayed in places. Most of these areas have been reinforced with iron or patched together with leather. The two animals look distinctly different, though they are of the same species. The differences are largely due to alterations their reanimator -- the infamous necromancer -- made to them.

One of them, a female, wears an iron mask. This mask is crude but somewhat reminiscent of horse armor masks. The mask goes from the top of the head to about halfway down the snout. The eyes of the mask are wide an ovular. It has numerous spikes in its head, almost looking like a radiate crown. The mask sports a long, thin nose. This markhirin is missing one of its horns, which has been replaced by a large spike similar to the others on its head. This markhirin bites down on a wooden cylinder most of the time.

The other markhirin has most of its face covered in bandages, including over its eyes. It has iron plates on its horns that act as reinforcements. It has a halo around its neck, from which descends a cloth that hangs to about halfway down the legs.

At night or in dark areas, the markhirin with the bandages removes the bandages directly over its eyes, and two bright shafts of light will pour out from its eye sockets, which house no eyeballs. Similarly, the other markhirin will let go of the cylinder in its mouth, it wall fall to the base of his neck, and light will pour out of his gaping mouth. The light from both animals operates almost like headlights.
